Beer52 is a UK based craft beer club started by Young Entrepreneur, James Brown and his business partner Fraser Doherty in the Year 2014, it delivers a curated selection of craft beer to its members every month.
Craft beers have been becoming more and more popular since 2011.
Each month Beer 52 post you eight craft beers, a snack and a magazine to enjoy. Beer 52 also adds in a bottle opener on the first subscription box. The selection of bottles and cans are selected by an expert team that choose different beers from around the globe. This is something that everyone should love, who would not want to have a taste of craft beers from around the globe
When you have received the box the presentation on it will be very appealing and will come in a nice thick card board box. When opening it all of the bottles and cans will be in separate slots to prevent them from cracking or smashing. All of the bottles and cans should fit nicely in the slots and should not feel loose when carrying the box. The Magazine also has its own little slot in the side of the box, this would also help keep the craft beer secure.
What you could receive
- 1 bottle of De Molen Op & Top bitter
- 1 bottle of Stewart First World Problems Belgian IPA
- 1 bottle of Vedett IPA
- 1 bottle of Rebel Surfbum IPA
- 1 bottle of Carlow O’hara’s Irish stout
- 1 bottle of Carlow O’hara’s Irish red ale
- 1 can of Fourpure oatmeal stout
- 1 can of Vocation Them & Us red session IPA
- Welcome issue of Ferment magazine
- 1 pack of Soffle’s rosemary & thyme pitta chips
- 1 bottle opener
Before receiving the box, you might think that you would of known most of the beers but to your surprise you might only know one or two off them. It mostly consists of IPA styles, but there are two stouts and two ales thrown in. There is a chance that you could receive two beers from the same brewery, but keep an open mind.
This is a fantastic subscription box for people that would love to try craft beer from all over the globe. The only fault that might not appeal to everyone is that it is a surprise subscription box, you cannot choose what beer you want sent each month. But Beer52 have taken note of this and could be an option in the future.
I feel that this subscription box is also handy for knowledge on beer. It tells you all about each beer so next time you are at a trendy pub, you can show off your knowledge.
