When I saw a cocktail box on the market, I knew we had to try it. Over the past few years, we have seen a lot of alcohol related subscription boxes pop up, but none have provided the fun and social experience that TASTE Cocktails have mastered. I can’t think of a better way to finish a meal with friends, than creating your own cocktails and having a taste test.
If you are a coffee addict then this month’s TASTE Cocktails will definitely satisfy your caffeine needs. Our coffee themed box arrived a few days after placing our order, in a really solid and well-protected gift box. Inside we were amazed at the variety and amount of different liqueurs, each liqueur came in a really cute TASTE Cocktails branded bottle.

This Months Cocktails
Each month you receive a cocktail guide with interesting information and instructions on making the perfect cocktails with the provided liqueurs. This months TASTE Cocktails taught us how to make The Espresso Martini, Cuppa Joe, and our personal favourite, a Toasted Almond. Almost everything you need to create these delicious drinks has been included in your box, but this month’s Toasted Almond called for a dash of Almond Milk. We popped down to our local Tesco to grab a bottle, although watch out, as we could not find this down the milk aisle, instead it was down the yoghurt aisle.
The Espresso Martini
After measuring out the required quantities of liqueurs and feeling like a pro bartender, we started to shake our cocktail shaker. This delicious drink contains Vodka, Fresh Espresso, Coffee Liqueur and a spoonful of sugar. After the required amount of shaking, we strained our cocktail into glasses and took our first sips. We could imagine this drink would be an amazing after dinner cocktail, packed with flavour and just the right amount of sweetness.
So after our success with our first cocktail, the next on the list is the Cuppa Joe. With similar flavours to The Espresso Martini but with a “nutty twist”, this cocktail is a relatively new drink and comes from New York in 2003. To make this cocktail all you need is few chunks of Ice, Vodka, Fresh Espresso, and a splash of Hazelnut Liqueur, simply thrown into a cocktail shaker and given a good shake. This drink is best strained in a tall glass and given to your guests while ice cold.
This one was our favourite cocktail of the night. If you are a Baileys fan then you will love this creamy drink. Another easy drink to impress your friends, simply fill a tall glass with ice, pour over Vodka, Coffee Liqueur, Amaretto, and a splash of Almond Milk, give it a good stir and serve. This truly refreshing drink is great for any group of friends and it’s sure to make them want more.
